HCC is an important cause of added morbidity and mortality in cirrhosis patients. In the cirrhosis background liver transplant is the definitive management strategy, as surgery may not be feasible due to portal hypertension, and there is a high rate of recurrence after locoregional therapies. Loco-regional therapies e.g. ablation and embolization techniques, are important strategies for early HCC or intermediate HCC but have a limited role in advanced HCC. Radiotherapy is one of the emerged techniques for the management of cancers. In the case of HCC, it can deal with small to advanced/metastatic HCC tumours. SBRT plays an imperative role in the management of advanced HCCs. Also, it bridges and downstages the tumour for liver transplantation. Join ILCC 2023 to learn how, and when to use SBRT.
